List your keywords before you begin writing!

[ad code=2] Whether you blog about business, politics or the hot topic of the moment, SEO Blogger allows you to find the most sought-after keywords for your subject without ever leaving your blog editing screen. The tool sits alongside whatever blog publishing software you're using so you can do keyword research and optimize your posts as you write. Then, simply hit "Publish" – and you're done!

I can’t lecture more about how beneficial is it to start writing your post only after you do some keyword research and make a list before you start writing. Because you can target them better to drive more organic traffic from search engines and improve ranking.

Advantages

You know what is being ordered before you prepare dish
You can focus on areas that are more profitable

The posts will be more visible as it is about hot searched topic
Increase in organic traffic that would boost ranking

How I turned to keyword research? Joella Molson (@blogswithwings) from Canada (lovely to call BlogAngel) runs Blogs With Wings. I’m much impressed with her writing and the great content that she plays so nice with.

Recently gone through her “How To Find Long Tail Keywords – Long Tail Keyword Strategy For Blogs”. Here she argues that long tail keywords are more beneficial than those mad competitive one word keyword. She has described how you can choose your long tail keywords.

Which tool to use for keyword research?

wordtracker_seo_blogger Just after a small search it was evident that the best tool at your disposal is SEO Blogger developed by WordTracker. This is a Firefox plugin that you can download, install and use right inside browser. This way, it does not matter if you are using blogger (blogspot?) platform or WordPress or any other blogging platform.

Benefits

  • Download SEO Blogger and start using immediately
  • Save time – no need to go off to do separate keyword research
  • Use with absolutely any blog publishing software
  • Stay focused – concentrate your research only on the post you're writing
  • Compare keywords instantly to find out which ones pack the most SEO punch. (For example, should you write an article about "sustainable buildings" or "green buildings"?)
  • Automatically track how many times you've used each chosen keyword in your post

Download SEO Blogger for Firefox

You can download SEO Blogger from WordTracker’s Lab page or click the link below:

Download from Here (it will download from the same source)

After you install and restart Firefox, a small ‘w’ icon is placed on lower right corner of the browser. Click this icon to bring or hide the SEO Blogger panel.

If you like to see how it works, you’ll find it useful to go through Sanjiv Mishra’s (@clickonf5) post on Clickonf5.

SEO Blogger for Windows Live Writer

I am using Windows Live Writer for composing my posts. I believe majority of bloggers are using this tool. It is obviously inconvenient in the absence of Windows Live Writer plugin.

Its a misfortune, I could not find any plugin developed for Windows Live Writer even after a vigorous search. If you find any I request, please update me too!

Though for Firefox, it can be a great assist to determine the keywords for new posts. Hope this will help you as well.

I’m still using the Keyword Tool of Google and see that it is the most suitable for my blog. Compared to the tool you introduce in this post, I see that Google’s one has much more aspects, so keyword choices are maybe better.

Looks like a great tool, Suresh. I haven’t used a keyword research tool for my blog up until now, but this one seems so easy to use because it’s integrated in FF and can be displayed while writing the post, so no additional effort outside WordPress is required. thanks!

I hope you can pull bit more organic traffic if you compose posts after keyword research. But how a blogger can. We are the kind of people who like something, so we sit to write our feeling about it. Anyway for better benefits, its better to do some keyword research.

  4. Suresh you have shared a gem. Google keyword is more rich in features but wordtracker is more convenient to use for posts. Its very hectic to enter CAPTCHA keywords in Google and then start your work. Great post Suresh.

I hope the plugin will be available soon for chrome too. Because Firefox is still the mainstream browser, developers are more hurried to release for Firefox. It will take no time for chrome as well.

Joella’s posts are really valuable. I must appreciate her. Each posts are equally enjoying.

The important thing here, as you have pointed out, do some keyword research before you begin writing the post. I think many do just the opposite.

It is important since getting niche pr micro niche keywords will help us to drive traffic trough the search engine. In order to do that we need a tool to take the list of those potential micro niche. And wordtracker could make it easy. I agree with you guys…

keywords are those words which tells what your website is about. For example there can be a website selling ebooks and presenting multiple choice questions, so multiple choice questions, mcq, objective questions, ebooks, buy ebooks, cheap ebooks etc can be the keywords for that site because users when searching for the information contained in that website probabley type those words in search box in Google. Hope I made it a bit clear to you!
