Which is used for email? (2 replies and 2 comments)
All are used for Email.. Without Email Address we can think about mailing. And in website address, it is also used., such as we type http://www.gmail.com, http://www.yahoomail.com to access mail and in case of 3rd option every domain name has IP address which is indirectly used in Email.....
Prabin & Jhalak,
I could not agree with website address.
As you know emails operate with pop and smtp (and other email protocols) whereas the websites operate with http.
Moreover, because you are just using gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc, you're in false notion that website is required for emails, but it's not true. If you provide you an email address with following credentials, you can access email without website using your Outlook or any other mail client.
pop address such as pop.icttrends.com
port number: 415
smtp address such as smtp.icttrends.com
port number 1024
account id such as firstname.lastname@example.org
account password such as myAwesomePassword2017&$
So, where's the website address here?

I think there is difference betweeen the word 'required' and 'used'. In this case the question is not about requirement, it is about 'is used or not'. It is no doubt that the the websites are used in Email. Yes I agree they are not required. But they can be used. SO I think in this case the answer should be all.
Yes I agree for sending or receiving mail, it is not necessary to use website. But I think without website we cannot create email ID.
