Hi Satish Here i try to make salary sheet formula given Ur condition
Question is “Tax is 15 % if there annual income is greater then 20000 otherwise 0%, pf is 10%, bonus is 12 % if shalary is less than 15000, otherwise 10 %”
For Tax “=IF(C2>=20000, C2*15%,0)”
For Bonus “=IF(C2<15000, C2*12%,C2*10%)"
Dear 'Suresh' sir if U see this solution and found wrong then please solve it
Suresh Khanal on October 26, 2011
For Tax apply the formula = IF ((C2 * 12) >= 20000, C2 * 15%, 0)
AB on October 26, 2011
Is my Tax formula is wrong or we can use it…?
AB on October 26, 2011
Dear sir i don’t understand why we multiply (C2*12) there is no 12 no. in given condition then why we multiply, 12 is only given in Bonus can U explain it sir …
Suresh Khanal on October 27, 2011
We are given the income of 1 month only and we need to check it against annual income. So when we multiply it by 12 and compare with the criteria, it will give more accurate value.
AB on October 27, 2011
Oh I understand sir lot’s of thanks for Ur kind cooperation and hope it again and wish U Happy Dipawali 2068

Dear Suresh Sir
Namaskar
Sir, I get some other question from my friend, in word can it possible that we apply divide column and drop cap in Table and also text box. I try to make but column only divided with boarder and drop cap button is not active it mean not possible or i have no idea please sir help me
Suresh Khanal on November 2, 2011
MS Word does not let you format Drop Cap inside text box. Columns and tables are the two different tools, the first one to create newspaper style columns and the second one to create parallel columns. You can insert tables inside columns but not the columns inside table. Split the cells if you need columns inside table.
I hope this clarifies your queries.

Suresh Khanal on November 3, 2011
Yea, the box you are taking should be page border. You can create drop caps inside columns, there’s no problem. You can send me that question to shkanal@faceboo[email protected] if you want me to solve.
AB on November 5, 2011
Sir I try to send that problem your given address but my mail return back with failure notice if U don’t mind then can you provide me your personal email id or you can tell me how i send in Ur [email protected] address
Suresh Khanal on November 5, 2011
Hi Bikash,
It is very unusual that the mail to [email protected] bounced back. I tested with my Yahoo account and it works perfectly fine here. Internet sometimes can irritate for nothing.
However, you can contact me in multiple ways. Following are the ways you can send me your questions:
1. Post on Facebook Page wall on http://facebook.com/icttrends. This is most probably the fastest way to let me know you’ve posted something.
2. Send me email to [email protected]. I am always on Facebook
3. Send me email to [email protected]. I check emails once in every morning.
And there are many other ways, but I guess the above 3 will be sufficient to you

Respected Sir
I try to solve your given question of excel but i can’t success I try to put in PLAYED MINUTE cell put formula =(d3-c3)*60 multiply 60 for minute and also i make Format Celles>> Number >> General and answer is in 1 cell is 0.583333333 is this right…? and i can’t make formula for charge $2.3 perminute plz give me solution
Suresh Khanal on November 12, 2011
You forgot to multiply that with 24! You should multiply the difference by 24 * 60, then you’ll get the difference in minutes.
AB on November 11, 2011
sir i posted the problem where 2 condition are insert in one cell again conditon Question is :
Calculate the Bonus for the different employee under the following condition.
- Bonus 10% is provided to the employee who works under the “Pers” and “Mgmt” department.
- Bouns 5% is provided to the employee who work other than “Acct” and “Pers”
(Hint: Using OR & NOT operation)
please sir its most important for the us please sir help me as soon as possible
Suresh Khanal on November 12, 2011
It would have been more concrete if you provided the sheet contents, however, you can apply a formula similar to following to calculate this problem:
Place the cell pointer in cell where you need to display Bonus
= IF ( OR (D2 = “Pers”, D2 = “Mgmt”), 10, IF ( NOT (OR( D2 = “Acct”, D2=”Pers”) ), 5, 0 ) )
Where, D2 is the cell containing Department.
