General Strike and Counter Strike

- Image via Wikipedia
It might be bit offtopic. But this is the context where I’m blogging right now. Everywhere everything is closed. United Maoist Communist Party has announced general strike. Its been fourth day. The co-alience government is not doing anything except waiting with a hope the protesters will get tired and the days will be fine again. Ridiculous.
I had to go to Anamnagar – 7 kilometers from Kalanki, where I stay – to fill up a form for my friend. There were no vehicles except emmergency services, Red Cross and UN.
I wonder how long it will go this way.

You are right sir, we have no options for the vehicle,
we have no other options rather that sit in home and do some stuffs,
its 5th day now and there is no hope to end it soon ,
so the strike is going on and there is news that people are tired if this strike and people are going against it.

The most disturbing thing is that government is not paying any attention to the voices raised on roads and on top of that Maoists have instructed their caders to defend in case of attack against them. God save us!

Thank you for your well wishes. It appears that the struggle will still go harder. Yesterday the CPN Maoists withdraw the general strike and declare that they are waiting for government to take necessary action. If government is not found responsible within two days, they are still going to run even harder struggles.

Strike to topple the GOV ? Such a bad thing.. Giving trouble to people for not getting the PM ? It should be discussed in parliament not in the road.

This is our problem. One party won’t calm down without holding the government and the other parties won’t leave government no matter how severe the sorrows of people are.
