Feedburner is licking Your PR Juice – Configure Your CommentLuv
Thanks to ileane. She pointed me to a post in Kikolani blog – “Reasons to Love CommentLuv Blogs”
Immediately, I come to know that all the fruits of my hard worked link-building is being devoured by Feedburner! Beware, Feedburner is licking your pr juice – configure your commentLuv.
I read posts. I Analyze them. I Write comments and leave a link back to my recent post on those commentLuv enabled blogs. I left the link to my recent post. BUT Feedburner is pointing the link to its own domain. This way, if anybody clicked on recent post link, they arrive at my page through Feedburner. This way, I am not getting any benefit for PR from those comments. Have you checked if Feedburner is licking your PR juice!
How to know if links on comments are pointing to your domain or Feedburner?
If you are using Feedburner for managing your feeds, don’t delay to configure it. The default configuration points the links to feedproxy.google.com. Just put your mouse pointer over the link and see the url pointing. If it is http://feedproxy.google.com and bla bla bla, its drained. This way all the credit of your hard-worked comments are automatically donated to Feedburner!
How to configure Feedburner to point to your own domain?
Its not difficult. Look at these simple steps.
1. Log on to your feedburner account
2. Go got analyze tab
3. Click ‘Configure Stats’ link under Services
4. Uncheck ‘Item link clicks – optimize for
5. Click Save!
Voila! Now onwards, the recent post links on your comments will point to your own domain and you’ll be receiving the PR Juice from those sites. I have configured Feedburner. Have you too?
