ICT Trends eCourse is a free online Computer Operator Exam preparation sessions. ICT Trends is running these sessions so that anybody who plans to compete in 2012 Computer Operator Exam to be conducted by Lok Sewa Ayog (PSC) could get better support and assist in their preparation efforts.
Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Ayog) prescribes the objective type questions and in essence, multiple choice questions in its written examination. 50 questions are asked with 4 options that has to be attempted within 45 minutes. There is one and only one correct answer, so, you need to identify best suitable answer among the options provided.
Because you need to pass written exam to take another stage of examination – practical and interview, participants are heavily focused only on written exam. They just prepare for multiple choice questions. Even the preparation books available in market are more concerned to the written exam, presenting as many multiple choice questions as possible. Though there are some subjective content in the beginning – hardly a couple of pages, is hardly sufficient to know and understand what you should study to attempt the exam.
Why subjective questions in homework?
With weak knowledge on subject matter and the topics prescribed, you can’t attempt the exam confidently. Moreover, if a question appears a bit twisted or it happens to be a fresh one that you never saw it before, there exist higher risk that you’ll make mistake.
Taking this into consideration, I prescribed two books for eCourse that are relevant and updated included even recent developments. Reading those books will not only strengthen what you already know, I believe, you will discover many new information as well. When you are stronger at foundation, the questions won’t be much to twist and trick you.
I know the exam pattern of Public Service Commission is objective for Data Entry Operators, Data Entry Supervisors, Computer Operators and Assistant Computer Operators. I understand that a good practice and drilling with multiple choice questions should be provided to make you more comfortable with exam. This is the reason eCourse has its online MCQ quiz system and I’m sending you the PDF files with multiple choice questions and correct answers. At the same time, I need to know whether you are gaining required knowledge and information on topic; I need to know if you really have read the book and making proper use of eCourse, there are subjective homework to submit in ICT Trends eCourse.
Anybody who did not read sufficient content and just prepared with just MCQs, will get too confused, nervous and scared in interview. So to build up your confidence and prepare you for interview session, I need to throw subjective questions towards you. The way you write answers now in homework will be truly helping in your interview. This is the reason I’m sending subjective questions for homework.
Troubled by English?
While going through the answers you sent me in homework, I realized that there are many with difficulty in English. Some are hesitating to spill down what they think they know due to the language. My best suggestions to them is go on. Don’t think that I’ll look you down because you don’t have good English. On the contrary, I’ll be trying to help you to make your answers better. So don’t feel ashamed if you don’t know the language better. No problem. Try to learn and make it better everyday.
The good thing about PSC exam is that you can use English or Nepali as exam medium, so can speak in Nepali while in interview. But still, the question papers of written exam are in English, so, you should make yourself comfortable to understand the question and know the best answer.
Well, the homework questions are in English and of subjective type. I encourage you to send me the answers in English as much as you can. If you are really troubled, you can use both the languages in answers.
Work hard! Keep learning and practicing. Wish you good luck.
