It’s great to go through Element’s recent post ‘Tips to Help with Time Management’ on his bog. After reading, I remained startled, and tested myself on each of his tips. I’m sure many of you are still in same situation as of mine. Why not to fix and improve from right now? Following are my findings when I placed myself juxtaposition with him.

Tip 1: Get a schedule

I still remember, when young in school, we are terribly guided by schedules; enough to hate ‘the schedule’ itself. For some time tried to live without schedule. But there is no way out. The life has to follow routine classes, office, TV Programs and everything demands a fixed time to turn a life into routined series of events.

But, for blogging? Creating schedule for blogging!

An Intuitive schedule was automatically followed without creating and fixing the formal one. Since my office requires 8 hours, leaving only mornings and evenings as spare time. Moreover, here in Nepal, we are facing ’11 hours a day Load Shedding’ to shatter everything wide. Anyway, I get 4 hrs in the morning and 4 hrs in the evening (that is the capacity of battery on my laptop). I have already get complains and disappointment from my wife and children. They started to feel I have no time for them. This is very bad. Now I believe I need to formalize schedule with some time for my wife and family.

Tip 2: Stop playing those stupid Facebook App games

I’m Great. I do not burn my time off with those stupid games, neither of Facebook nor of any other. But I’m always interested and take a taste, then leave it forever. But what do you think if it helps you to build more connections and more traffic to your site?

Tip 3: Get off the couch and turn off the television

I’m lucky. My wife loves reading and we don’t have a television in bed room. And it is the room from where I do all of my writings. But I smell disadvantages of not having a TV in room. Most of the current affairs pass by without my notice. Sometimes I’m far lagging behind to be aware of what’s happening. I’m afraid it’s because I don’t have a schedule? But will there remain any time to spare?

Tips 4: Do not do work in the bed

I fail here very badly. I always sit in my bed with my PC for surfing and writing and for everything. I feel distracted in other places. Moreover he has said that ‘the brain associates places by what it used to’. What might he respond to know that my brain is used to for writing from the bed? Just kidding! I’m not against his suggestions. The tip looks great for everybody, and it is me only.

Tips 5: Organize your workspace

Thanks to my beautiful lady. She cares me a lot and organizes my workspace. I often change the layout and positions of different objects to suit my current need and keep on working. Think about the things that might need most frequently for some more days to come and place them more accessible. Destroy the papers and scratches that are no longer useful. They always mess up with important papers and kill your time for nothing.
